Good day to everyone and welcome to Day 11! Today we continue looking at this very unique special election being held due to the resignation of Senator Rubio from his positon. One of the candidates looking to replace him is Alexander Vindman. With that said, lets dive right in.
Today’s Candidate: Alexander Vindman
Alexander Vindman is a longtime veteran after retiring from the armed forces after 21 years of service. He has had quite a controversial involvment within the political sphere, as in 2019, he was called to testify in the House of Representatives Impeachement hearings during the first term of President Donald J. Trump. After that, he has been in legal struggles with the Trump administration due to his military career, and is now running for Senator in the State of Florida against Ashley Moody as the incumbant.

Despite the unique circumstances surrounding his campaigning for the senate seat of Senator Rubio, let us take a look at the priorities he has stated for the rest of his term. Since he is running as a Democrat, his platform leans largely on the liberal ideology:
Attempting to lower cost of living by increasing the tax burden on the upper classes by closing the tax exemptions currently in place.
Enforcing and stregthening the Affordable Care Act in an attempt to lower medicinal drug prices .
Initiating a cleanout of corruption in Washington by enforcing the laws on insider trading for current public office holders.
