Welcome to Day 12 everyone! Today we are looking at the other candidate Democratic candidate on the ballot for the primaries in August: Angela Nixon.
Today’s Candidate: Angela Nixon
Angela Nixon has spent several years inside of the State legislature after completing her education at the University of Florida. She has spent several terms within the Florida House of Representatives for both Districts 13 and 14. She is also a small business owner and author. Now, she aspires to reach the Senate on the federal level.
Nixon is running as a democrat, as she has done in the past for the House, as such, she her views fall more in line with the liberal ideology, such as:
Electing the president through the popular vote instead of the electoral college (HB 57)
Expanding Medicare for all citizens
implementing a universal childcare system
Construct police accounatblity towards the black and LGBTQ communities.
