Good day to all! Today is Day 60 of the 100 Candidates in 100 Days campaign, and I can hardly believe it, but we are very deep into the closing of this series. It is now only two weeks until the primary elections across the state, so only 14 more candidates before that day. After that, we’ll spend the rest of the series (and the year most likely) analyzing the primary winners for the general election. So, while we do that, we keep moving with the Thirteenth District’s Democratic party election with Brandt Robinson.
Today’s Candidate: Brandt Robinson
Brandt Robinson is a first time candidate not just within the 13th District, but as a political player in general. During his education, he focused on the political sciences with the very specific emphasis on action within the civil rights space. As such, he also holds a minor in Black Studies. In the same time he has been managing running this campaign, he has also been working as a history teacher for his community.
Robinson is currently running on the Democratic platform, and as such, his positions line up closely with a liberal perspective:
Establishing healthcare as a human right within the United States
Attributing abortion rights to women who so choose to have an abortion based on the level established in Roe v. Wade
Creating federal backstops for payments on houses and insurance
