Good Day to all! Today is Day 57 of the 100 Candidates in 100 Days campaign, and now we cover the democratic party currently about to hold elections within the district. There are only two members currently on the ballot, but that’s the race nontheless, so let’s see how Darren McAuley is farring in the race for the Democratic Nomination in Florida’s Twelfth District:

Today’s Candidate: Darren McAuley

McAuley is a first time candidate, but is an Air Force combat veteran after over 25 years of service. This makes him a third generation combat veteran. Even after his time of service, he continued to work closely with veterans as a physician with the Veterans Health Administration. This would lead up to him becoming the State Air Surgeon within Florida. Now, he wants the seat is the House.

While McAuley is running within the Democratic party, his stances are not increasingly aligned with one side of the ideological spectrum or the other”

  • Implementing strong borders and a stable immigration system

  • Expanding military spending to support a strong armed force

  • Expanding Medicare and Medicaid programs to apply to more Americans.

This concludes Day 57! Thank you very much for reading. This is the first half of the Democratic candidacy, so tomorrow is the end of the coverage of the Twelfth District. Stay tuned for that conclusion!
