Good day everyone, and welcome to Day 16. Today we cover one of the candidates on the Democratic Ballot for the August 18th primary.

Today’s Candidate: Dayna Foster

Ms. Foster Is a political newcomer when it comes to the race for the governor’s seat. She’s been a teacher, and studied for a degree in finance from FAU and recently pursued a degree in political science from FSU.

Foster is in line for the democratic nomination, and as such, most of her positions lean towards the liberal ideology:

  • enacting strong gun reform, including raising the minimum purchase age, and adding background checks to all transfers.

NOTE FROM EDITIOR: I’m not exactly sure what she intends to raise the minimum purchase age to, as Florida already prohibits sales from dealers regardless of firearm type till 21 years of age.

  • expanding abortion and reproductive rights for women.

  • Investing heavily into local infrastructure, including roads and data cables.

This concludes Day 16. Thank you for reading, and I hope you feel more prepared for the upcoming primaries on August 18th.
