Good day to all! Today is Day 76 of the 100 Candidates in 100 Days, and now we get to the final stretch of politicians currently running for Florida’s House in the 20th District. This race in particular is an unusual one due to the recent shift of the political makeup of the 20th District. It is now much more condensed geographically speaking due to recent redistricting at the State level. So, with this new factor in play, how does Schultz look going into this election?
Today’s Candidate: Debbie Schultz
Schultz has had one of the longest political careers in Florida within the 2026 candidate pool. She has held numerous positions across differing levels of politics. From 1992-2000, she served in the Florida House District 97. Later on, she served in Florida Senate District 32 from 2000-2003 and District 34 from 2003-2004. Then, from 2005, she has held office within the 20th and 23rd District ever since.
Shultz is currently running as a Democrat for office, and as such, her positions align with the liberal ideology:
Expanding Reproductive rights.
Expanding Gun Control.
Standing against the Executive’s current agenda.
This concludes Day 77! Thank you very much for reading. This district is in an interesting situation, and I can’t wait to finish this off in the next one! Please keep a lookout for that!
