Good Day to all! Today is Day 47 of the 100 Candidates in 100 Days campaign, and while the race in the Eighth District may be light on candidates, Jennifer Jenkins has stepped in as one of two Democratic Candidates for the Eighth District, so lets see how she stacks up:
Today’s Candidate: Jennifer Jenkins
Jenkins has spent a considerable amount of time within the public sphere, as she was part of the Brevard County School Board from 2020 to 2024. She is heavily invested within the education sphere, as she founded a group called Educated We Stand, which focuses on attempting to remove political influence directed towards the right-wing. Given this sort of activism work, it’s clear why she is currently running on the Democratic ticket.

With her advocacy within education in mind, as well as her work within the Brevard County School Board, its clear that her policies line up closely with the liberal ideology:
Expanding medicare for all Floridians as the new healthcare plan
Support the Department of Education and stop it from being dissolved
Create a catastrophe fund and federal insurance for natural disasters
This concludes Day 47! Thank you very much for reading, and hopefully you understand roughly half of the entire roster for the Democratic party in the Eighth District. Tomorrow, we finish things up in the district, so stay tuned for that.
