Good day to all of you as we reach day 18 of the 100 Candidates in 100 Days campaign! We’re almost a fifth of the way through and we move on to the races in each of Florida’s Congressional districts. Starting of with the first district is Jimmy Patronis running as the incumbent in the race, so lets dive right in.
Today’s candidate: Jimmy Patronis
Patronis has had an extensive history in Florida politics on both the national and state levels. He has already participated in the House as the representative for District 6 from 2006-2014. After that, he spent much time in the state government where he held the postions of Chief Financial Officer for eight years and public service commions for another 2. Now, he aims for District 1.
Jimmy is currently running as a republican, and as such, his views align very closely with the conservative platform, such as:
Expanding benefits for first-responders and military members
Increase privacy rights by fighting the tech corporations on the access to people’s personal data
Enact new legislation to limit the influence of insurance companies on home prices and rates
