Good day to all of you! Here we go with day 31 of the 100 Candidates in 100 Days campaign, and we’re making some impressive progress throughout all of Florida’s district. This is the 5th District of 28, so progress, however slow, is flowing very well.
To open up our discussion, as always, is the running incumbent for the district John Rutheford, so let’s get to it:
Today’s Candidate: John Rutheford
Rutheford has served as the representative for the Fifth District for two terms already, and is now seeking reelection for his third term in office. Rutheford boasts having a very active participation within the Congressional sphere, and takes pride in considering himself as a representative deeply in tune with his constituents due to his extensive career in law enforcement. He is the former sherrif of Duval and participated in that sphere for 40 years.

Rutheford is currently running on the Republican ballot, and as such, his position line up squarely with current conservative positions, such as:
Blocking new taxes and slashing current ones to the bare minimum needed for the government to run.
Increase the support for our veterans in their transition back into civilian life
Crack down on illegal immigration and choose the community over corporate interests.
This concludes day 31! Thank you for reading, and I hope that the people from the 5th district are now more aware about who has been representing them. Stay tuned for day 32!
