Good Day to all! Today is Day 58 of the 100 Candidates in 100 Days campaign, and we are now drawing to a close on the 12th District. This was a rather short district to cover since the Republican Party cancelled it’s primary due to an unopposed incumbant and there were only two candidates on the Democratic Party side. The second candidate on this side is Kimberly Overman, so without further ado, let’s see how she stacks up with the other guy:
Today’s Candidate: Kimberly Overman
While this may be Overman’s first time running for Federal office, this is not her first time holding office in general. From 2018-2022, Overman was a member of the Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners. She is a woman of her family and a small business owner. Since she was in office from 2018 to 2022, she was in office during the Covid-19 Pandemic, meaning not only was she personally impacted by that, but also worked in government to help people move forward with their lives after the shutdowns.

Overman is running on the Democratic platform, and as such, she is cemented within the liberal ideology, with positions such as:
Protecting women’s right to an abortion in regards to healthcare access
Establishing federal plans for affordable housing and child care
Investing in community engagement in an attempt at crime prevention
This concludes Day 58! Thank you very much for reading, and I hope you’ve enjoyed the coverage of the Twelfth District. Please stay tuned for the next district!
