Good day to all! Today is Day 62 of the 100 Candidates in 100 Days campaign, and we come to a close with the 13th District. This was another example of a district that cancelled one of it’s major party’s primary elections because there was no candidate of the same party to challenge the incumbant. So, we close out with Leela Gray of the Democratic Party:

Today’s Candidate: Leela Gray

Leela Gray is a retired Army Brigadier General who is now running for a political position for the first time in her life. Her family had a long history with the armed forcesm which encouraged her to join as well. She worked her way up the ranks till her final position as General. After that, she’s worked with small businesses and holds a law degree from Stetson University.

Leela Gray is currently running as a Democrat for Congress, and as such, her positions align closer to a more centrist Ideology:

  • Focusing tax cuts on the middle class instead of the upper class

  • Lowering the cost of living by managing healthcare costs and housing costs

  • Restoring the integrity of all three branches of government

This concludes Day 62! Thank you very much for reading, and I hope you’ve enjoyed the coverage of the 13th District. Please look forward to the start of the 14th District tomorrow!
