Good day to all of you! Day 34 is here of the 100 Candidates in 100 Days Challenge, and the race for the Fifth District continues, with today being another day for a Democratic candidate. Today, we have Mark Heggestad and his campaign for the nomination come the primary elections in August. Well, without further ado, lets go see where Mark Heggstad stands.
Today’s Candidate: Mark Heggestad
Heggestad is a first time candidate running for office. He graduated with his Bachelor’s from Mankato State University, and has worked extensively within the sports world at both the High School and College levels, so he is associated with the Florida High School Athletic Association and the NCAA.
Heggestad is currently running as a Democrat, and as such, his positions line up very well with the Liberal ideology, with stances such as:
Expanding Reproductive rights for women in regards to abortion, while also expanding efforts to prevent unwanted pregnancies in the first place
Establishing further gun control at the federal level
Continuing to progress efforts to expand green energy efforts
