Good day to all! It’s Day 46 of the 100 Candidates in 100 Days campaign, and we advance forward into the Eighth District. To start off, as is always the case when a new district gets brought up, we start with the incumbent Mike Haridopolds. How does his current running stack up with the Democratic ticket:

Today’s candidate: Mike Haridopolds

Haridopolds has served the Eighth District for one term, meaning he was inaugurated into the office in 2025. Before this, he was a college professor and taught Political Science and United States History, which is where he got his passion to run for a political position. He also participated directly within the state legislature from 2003 to 2012 in the senate and 2000 to 2003 in the house of representatives.

Haridopolds is the only Republican candidate for the Eighth District, and either way, his positions line up closely with the conservative ideology, such as:

  • Implementing term limits on the federal level for Congressional members

  • Establishing strong support for the second amendment within Congress

  • Continue to crack down on illegal immigration

This concludes Day 46! Thank you very much for reading, even if this is the only candidate on the Republican ballot for the Eighth District. Stay tuned for Day 47!
