Good day to all of you! Today is Day 52 of the 100 Candidates in 100 Days campaign, and we move right along the Eleventh District, except now we switch over once again to the Democratic party’s roster within this District, and the next candidate on the ballot is Royal Webster. So, let’s see how his campaign compares to the rest of the party for the chance of winning the nomination before the general election in November:

Today’s Candidate: Royal Webster

Webster is a first time candidate within the political sphere. While within the private sphere, he served fifteen years within the United States Army from 1980 to 1995. He has been contributing to his community’s youth ever since as a teacher and a coach.

Webster is currently running on the Democratic platform, and as such, his positions generally align with the Liberal ideology, with positions such as:

  • Reforming public education to emphasize Project Literacy 2040

  • Uncapping the amount of representatives within the United States House of Representatives

  • Passing the HBCU Protection and Equity Investment Act of 2027, which would give new types of grants and towards historically black colleges and Universities.

This concludes Day 52! Given Webster’s extensive history within the education space, its not surprising that he would emphasize educational reform so much. I hope you feel you’ve learned something new about the candidates who are currently trying to represent you. Stay tuned for Day 53!
