Good day to all! Today is Day 51 of the 100 Candidates in 100 Days campaign, and today we hop back onto the Republican ticket within the Eleventh District with their second candidate vying for the nomination before heading into the general election. How does Carey Baker’s campaign compare to the rest of the roster in the competition for the ticket:

Today’s Candidate: Carey Baker

Baker was involved with politics quite a while ago when he held office within the Florida State Senate in District 20 between the years of 2004 and 2012. He served within the United States National Gaurd for several decades, from 1981 to 2013. He is also a businessman, as he owns a firearms store named A.W. Peterson Gun Shop.

Baker is running for the nomination from the Republican Party, and as such, his positions are aligned closely with the conservative ideology, with priorities such as:

  • Preventing the implementation of gun control

  • Prioritize parental rights within the education sphere

  • Stimulate the economy by removing red tape and other such regulations on small businesses.

This concludes Day 51! Thank you very much for reading, and hopefully you understand the current Republican candidate just a little bit more. Stay tuned for Day 52!
